It’s been a pretty amazing week of travel — a business trip, a wedding and finally back home after a 10 hour drive! I came back to hundreds of comments on my blog…most of which were spam! But the rest were wonderful comments from my friends in the blogosphere — thanks! I’m glad everyone liked the Free Hugs video – if you haven’t seen it, take a look and see how you feel afterwards.
Going to Malibu, CA!
The latest news is that I am going to go to Malibu for Donna Gates’ Certified Body Ecologist training. It took awhile to work out how I’d get there, but it all fell into place tonight. I will be working — and during the breaks, offering Emotional Freedom Technique and energy clearing sessions for core issues that keep us stuck. It will definitely be an amazing retreat, with a focus on healing mind, body and spirit. There will be acupuncture, yoga, EFT — in addition to all of the amazing Body Ecology training and food. If you haven’t read my post on the training and are interested in attending, take a look here. The training is being offered in an exclusive Malibu home — and my understanding is that there are only a few spaces left. I would so love to meet readers of my blog at the event!
My First TV Appearance
The other news is that I am going to be on a TV show/documentary about recovery from bulimia — focusing on all of the avenues I tried, what worked and didn’t– and how the Body Ecology Diet really helped me with my final stage of recovery. The camera crew is going to do my interview and shoot some of the pre-training preparation with Donna and her Body Ecology chefs. I think they are also planning to come to Florida, where I’ll be living for the winter, to shoot an interview with Joel. I guess they will be talking to some of my doctors and other practitioners who have guided me along the way as well. It’s a high quality show and it should be a great way to get the word out that not only is recovery possible, but there are many ways to recover. At some point, we all find the path that works for us — the belief that it’s possible, the commitment to finding the way and keeping an open mind — are all ingredients to success — along with a big dose of self-love.
This will be my first real TV appearance, with the exception of 3 shows I did in middle school — remember the PBS-type stuff they had you do when you did something particularly smart in school? I think I gave 2 speeches about student council and 1 about something current event-oriented. Clearly, they were memorable experiences!
Then, in my corporate days, I was on corporate TV for a company that had a broadcasting studio. I did a few shows where I had to read a teleprompter and sit under the bright lights. They even had a makeup room, etc. Maybe all of that was some kind of preparation for this, who knows?
Meeting in Malibu or LA
I don’t have a ton of time while in Malibu, but I do have the hope of meeting some of my fellow bloggers in the LA area. Emily, Karen, Michelle — and maybe some other readers in the area. I’d love to meet you all and feel the energy of your presence face-to-face. And anyone else who can find their way to the Body Ecology retreat – I’d love to meet you there. When we all gather together and share in the belief that we can live beautiful, healed and healing lives, miracles start to happen. It would be wonderful to create a collective consciousness of self-love and healing for all on the West Coast — and pull it with me on my plane back to the East Coast — sending it out to the world while up high in the clouds. That will be my meditation starting right now. With every breath, that is what I’m sending out.
Love to all!
P.S. For anyone thinking about buying the Body Ecology Diet book, there’s a special being offered on the 9th edition — $199.00 worth of free gifts. Here’s the link for more information.

Oh, Heather! I would love to meet up with you! Karen and I spoke about meeting up a while back, but we never quite made it happen. Perhaps having you in town will be the push for us to actually arrange something!
I had no idea Emily was in the LA area! That would be awesome if we all could finally meet.
How long are you here? When will you be available to meet up? Give us the details! You can write me directly if you want at michelle@michellehope.org.
Yay!

Hi Michelle, Great — I’m excited that we might actually be able to meet! Emily is a bit farther away, so I’m not sure if it will work out. So far, I am supposed to be getting interviewed/filmed on Sunday 10/15 and I have the training for full 12 hour days on Monday – Thursday. That leaves Friday — right now, it looks like I have most of the day Friday the 20th until I fly out at 8:00 pm. I’ll e-mail you and perhaps you, Karen and I can meet. Karen is only 30 minutes away from where I’ll be and I’m guessing you are about the same.
I can’t wait!!!
With love,
Heather

Hey Heather and Michelle,
Yes, I’m a bit too far away, unfortunately. It would be about a six or seven hour drive for me, and I wouldn’t be able to take more than the Friday off. Even then, I would have to cancel clients, which I’d be reluctant to do at this stage in my career.
I would have loved to meet both of you, as well as Karen! Maybe on Heather’s next trip to CA…
love,
Emily

Ha, I had a dream last night that I went to Cali and I met you, Michelle and Em. Except you were named Maria.
How random is that? You had brown hair and were older than I expected and had lots of freckles. You looked nothing like you look in real life.

Hi Emily, What a bummer — but we’ll have you there in spirit, that’s for sure!
Hi Frida, I’m glad you liked the free Hugs video — I watched it again yesterday and cried again!!! Thanks for stopping by to say hi!
Hey PTC, Sometime we will have to meet for sure! Thanks for sharing your dream — LOL — how funny is that? Maybe I was Maria in a different life…they say those of us who are in each other’s lives now probably knew each other in a past life!
With love to all,
Heather
