One of my favorite seminars at Louise Hay’s I Can Do It conference was Dr. Darren Weissman’s Infinite Love and Gratitude. In this seminar, I learned (actually validated a belief I already had) that our body speaks to us through symptoms.
In Dr. Weissman’s seminar, we learned the complex language of physical symptoms, dis-ease and stress.
So whatever symptoms we have, whether illness, phobias, addictions, depression…they tend to be a reflection of our subconscious mind’s response to events in our life.
When we have thoughts and emotions that we disconnect from (pretend we don’t feel or suppress), they are still in our subconscious mind (below conscious thought). Dr. Weissman says:
“Subconscious limiting or pessimstic thoughts, feelings, and beliefs will result in the stagnation of our cells, eventually leading to symptoms and disease. Remember that 98% of our perception is subconscious.”
Dr. Darren Weissman is a naturopath and chiropractor with a background in Chinese medicine, acupuncture, shamanism, Ayurvedics and many other modalities, which he learned from studying and practicing all over the world. After searching for one modality that would tap into your own body’s natural ability to heal, he created the Lifeline Technique.
The Lifeline Technique
I’ve tried a lot of healing modalities over the years and was intrigued by the promises of the Lifeline Technique.
At the I Can Do It conference, Dr. Weissiman had a booth with about 5 certified Lifeline Technique practitioners. On Saturday night (the evening before Dr. Weissman’s seminar), my friends and I stopped by his booth. A woman who had just finished with a session was standing near the booth. Her eyes were sparkling and she had a huge smile of excitement on her face.
“It was amazing,” she said, “They found out things that I knew and some I didn’t even know, but will definitely help me.” She was so enthusiastic about how the session helped her that we all signed up for a session.

I had hoped I’d get to have a session with Dr. Weissman, but ended up with Dr. Thomas Bayne. It wasn’t until later that I’d find out Dr. Bayne was side by side with Dr. Weissman while developing the technique.
Dr. Bayne asked me to pick a focus for the session. Each Lifeline Technique session has a focus which is based on some type of symptom you are having in your body. Now, I don’t have much pain these days, but I do still feel like I have healing to do in my colon. And since my digestive system as a whole is still going through a healing process, I asked to focus on my digestive system.
Dr. Bayne started to do a series of muscle testing (applied kinesiology) while taking me through the Lifeline flow chart. The Lifeline flow chart has all of the body-mind-spirit, bodily systems and structures, emotions, Chinese medicine and energetics included. I was AMAZED at how accurate it was.
What came up for me was candida in my stomach. While I could get rid of it, it would keep coming back until I dealt with the root cause.
We found out that the reason it was there (found by going through the flow chart) was a “Gemini Thought Virus” which I picked up earlier in my life. A Gemini Thought Virus, according to The Power of Infinite Love and Gratitude (Darren Weissman’s book) is:
“The shadow side of a person’s life based on polar opposites — that is light/dark, yin/yang, and good/bad. It creates the feeling that you’re an abandoned, vulnerable child and are unworthy of love. To overcome Gemini-Thought Viruses, you must learn to accept all sides of yourself, rather than just identify with the negative and the positive.”
As we kept peeling back the layers with the Lifeline Technique, a number of other things came up. We found out that my stomach was not energetically connected to my intestines and I also had energetic disconnects with my gallbladder and pancreas. Not at all surprising, since these organs have been at the root of issues for me for many years.
Some things that came up for me were: Insecurity — not about myself, but from the standpoint of anything that makes me feel “hopeless and out of control.” So in other words, I will do best if I own my power and be aware of feeling hopeless and out of control.
This is a great gage for me to decide which projects I want to take on….because guess what?
Whenever I’m doing something I don’t REALLY want to do, I feel hopeless and out of control. That’s when I get the Sunday night blues and feel like the fun has gone out of my life. Now I know what to look for and I KNOW to LISTEN immediately! How cool is that?
For me it was total validation of what my intution was telling me and also a way to get to know and respect my body-mind connection much better so that I can make choices to support my health. Many other things came up and as an end result, we got to the ages of 12 and 23. Dr. Bayne gave me homework to be a big sister to myself at those ages and allow the little sister (me at those ages) to let it all out…just tell me everything I needed to hear.
My big sister self knows more now and can help.
I haven’t done the exercise yet because I wanted to make sure I had plenty of time by myself, so it’s on my agenda for the weekend (along with mountain biking and having fun!!!).
Dr. Bayne also gave me some supplements to help with my detoxification. I learned afterwards that I got the PERFECT person to work with, becuase he is an expert in detoxification and so far, I’m doing much better with the symptoms I’d been having!
Infinite Love & Gratitude Seminar
After experiencing the Lifeline Technique, my friends and I all signed up for Darren’s seminar on Sunday at the conference. It was incredible! Dr. Weissman based his work on that of Dr. Masaru Emoto, who did experiments with saying and thinking positive or negative thoughts to water.
When something positive was said or thought near the water, it would create a beautiful crystal structure (like what you’d think a snowflake would look like). When something negative was said or thought near the water, the crystal would lose all structure. Dr. Emoto took dark microscope pictures of this flash frozen water to show all the changes in water. You can see it on Dr. Weissman’s website (scroll to bottom of page).

Since our bodies are made up of 70% water, Dr. Weissman felt there might be a similar affect when looking at blood before and after the Lifeline Technique. After taking dark microscope studies of blood before and after, Dr.’s Weissman and Bayne found this was true.
After years of using the Lifeline Technique on patients, Dr. Weissman has had excellent results. He points to the work of Louise Hay, Candace Pert and Dr. Emoto for influencing his work. All believe in our body’s innate ability to heal.
All believe in the significant power of our thoughts to create our health.
One significant component of the Lifeline Technique is using the international sign language of love. You can see this on Dr. Weissman’s website (logo).
I am so excited about this new healing modality that I’m planning to get certified…you see, I have a new dream.
It’s really not so new — it’s been inside of me for 2 – 3 years. I am going to run healing retreats. They will focus on a few key areas of healing and a few will be specifically for mind-body-spirit eating disorder recovery retreats.
In these retreats, I’ll be combining several of the energy healing modalities that had the most impact on my life and recovery — plus some very practical, empowering techniques that allow us to merge energy techniques with real world applications. While energy techniques are some of the most healing I’ve ever done, we need to know how to apply them in this world we walk in every day. There is a way to benefit dramatically when you have this balance.
At these retreats, we will harmonize every aspect of what affects our lives. And the Lifeline Technique will be a great way to round out the system I’ve been looking to create for these retreats.
If you have a chance to see Darren Weissman in person, I’d HIGHLY recommend it. You will walk away understanding your power to have a healthy, beautiful, loving life. You can listen to an interview with Darren and Neal Donald Walsh (Conversations with God). Or perhaps you want to catch him on the next Hay House healing cruise or the next I Can Do It conference in Tampa, FL.

He also offers seminars in the suburbs of Chicago, IL, which is where I’ll be going to get my certification.
The most important message of all is that we ALL have the power to heal ourselves of whatever it is that’s plaguing us!
Trust in your power, watch your thoughts and give yourself infinite love and gratitude as often as you can each day. Try it for a week and see what happens!
I’m sending infinite love and gratitude to you all!

Hi Miss Blue, You’re so welcome…you know I already admitted to being a conference junkie, so I just LOVE finding out about new techniques. I honestly believe that we don’t have to protect ourselves from anything “out there” in the world — except negative energy.
So working with energy and learning to raise energy levels has been fascinating for me. The Infinite Love & Gratitude technique is wonderful because it taps into what our body is trying to say to us — so that we can listen and heal. Very cool.
I am guessing that as you continue to work with energy (you already are noticing how it’s working for you!!!), you’ll find out how much power you have to create your ideal life. It is so empowering!!!
Love,
Heather
