I don't watch the news, either. I pretty much live behind the moon as far as current events are concerned. I also get my updates from J, though I realized just this weekend that I haven't even been doing that so much. I was just pondering earlier how all my reading is on an individual/personal level (people's blogs), rather than a global level. I do think I need to fit in a little bit more of the global goings-on, though the personal growth and struggles are so much more fascinating and inviting to me, and I only have so much time to spend reading...

Thanks for your comment that I am naturally uplifting. :) Some people also really bring that out in me, and you, my dear, are certainly one of them! I'm in good company here. :)

with love,

Hi Em, I loved your analogy of walking through quick sand! That really describes the process of learning to do this foreign thing of positive thinking, doesn't it?

It's especially tricky when wherever we go, there are negative messages. Especially for women. Eventually, shutting off the negative (e.g., I don't watch the news at all...Joel just updates me on what's happening so I have an idea!) can be a real blessing. Little by little, you realize how easy it is to create the life you want when you don't choose into things that drag you down.

You are GREAT at doing that. I think you are a naturally uplifting person.

Love,
Heather

Oh, Heather. Thank you once again for a wonderful reminder. The challenge with this is that we need to constantly keep at it. As soon as we stop doing our (positive) affirmations, the negative thoughts start creeping back up. It's like walking in quicksand. As soon as we stop walking, we sink deeper and deeper into the sand. Noone ever said this was easy, but it sure as heck is worth it, and it does get easier when you've worked your way to the surface. It's easier to remain on the surface than to pull your way back out from the bottom. That's why it's so important to keep up the positive attitude!

I do forget every so often, and it is so helpful and uplifting to come here and find your reminders! Reminders that we do get to choose what we surround ourselves with and what we want to attract into our lives! Thanks, Heather! I am currently in the process of attracting some really wonderful experiences for the month of June, and I am so excited!! ;)

much love,
