Even Science Has Found Thoughts & Emotions Create Our Experience

I’d like to share two resources that have really made a big impact on my life and let everyone know of an excellent free call tonight at 9:00 pm Eastern Time (NY Time, for those who are doing time conversions outside the US).

We have long been a fact and evidence-based society, wanting proof for everything. This can sometimes hinder us in the emotional and spiritual realm, because we think we need to see something to believe it. Unfortunately, the Law of Attraction states the opposite: We get what we put out.

In other words, we must BELIEVE before we can SEE or HAVE.

From Debbie Ford’s Newsletter - A Life Changing Lesson

I love Debbie Ford and have signed up for her newsletter…but I hadn’t read it in awhile as all of my e-mails were piling up from my recent travels. Thankfully, a very special client sent me Debbie’s latest newsletter and I’m grateful that she did. I just loved Debbie’s message about embracing our dark sides — in particular, how she explained what her dark side has done for her life.

You may not know that Debbie was once addicted to drugs and feels that overcoming this addiction was part of what awakened her to spirituality and the beauty of life. I feel the same about my experience with the whole spectrum of eating disorders that I have had…bulimia, binge eating, exercise additiction, depression and constant, terrifying fear.

Fall Back…Seasonal Affective Disorder Anyone?

I used to have Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)– big time. In fact, I used to feel depressed a lot and it just got worse when we had to set the clocks back an hour. There were lots of reasons I could come up with as I looked wracked my brain for the whys. As far back as my college days, for example, I remember starting to feel the already cold winds of Burlington, Vermont — cutting through my clothing and reminding me of winter’s imminent doom. Winter and I did not get along very well at the time — winter meant not only dark, but cold.

Sunday Blues
Hooked in to my thought process was the Sunday blues. I was focused on dread most of the time — dread of studying, dread of going to classes, dread of tests. Underneath it all was dread of failing, of not being good enough. I put so much pressure on myself in high school and college that I was in a constant state of alert stress — what else do I need to do, what have I forgotten, what did I do wrong? These were my internal tapes, my mantras.
